Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Location: Near Cranberry Township, PA
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAS) manages and monitors the quality of output for all production departments at Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) under the direction of the Quality Director (QD). The QAS ensures assigned Quality Assurance (QA) team members perform their duties as required, approves time off requests, adjusts schedules, conducts training, and coaches QA team members where and when improvement is necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Works with department supervisors and managers to troubleshoot quality concerns and customer complaints.
- Assemble client samples for the Account Management team as necessary.
- Assemble and distribute USPS promotion samples as necessary.
- Assists with internal audits.
- Ensure completion of quality related corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintains quality staffing requirements including scheduling and timesheet and vacation request approval.
- Complies with all Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Provides and documents Quality SOP training to QA and production employees.
- Provides timely feedback on QA team performance and issues disciplinary actions as needed.
- Reports all site quality related issues to site leadership team and account management.
- Assists in root cause analysis for site quality related issues.
- Serves as the primary QA contact for DMS' site operations. Escalates quality issues as needed.
- Works as a backup to the Print Approval Quality Assurance Specialist role a needed.
- Maintains site Quality Retention Program.
ADDIIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes additional assignments and special projects from the QD as needed.
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS values and the Code of Conduct.
- Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
- Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
- Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Five to ten years' relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
- Solid working knowledge of relevant regulatory and quality standards and metrics
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheet and analysis tools
- Knowledge of different direct mail fold types and USPS regulations
- Knowledge of the direct mail sortation, print, and pre-press processes
